Qatar Airways has announced a significant expansion of its flight services to key international cities, including London, Male, Miami, and Tokyo, for the upcoming 2024-2025 winter season.

Starting October 27, the airline will introduce an eighth daily flight to London Heathrow, bringing the total number of weekly flights between Doha and London to 56.

This increase positions Qatar Airways as the Gulf carrier with the highest frequency of flights to the UK, further strengthening its strategic alliance with British Airways.

In addition to Qatar Airways flights, British Airways operates two daily flights between London and Doha, offering travellers 10 daily options on the route.

The airline will also enhance its services to Male, Maldives, with the addition of seven weekly flights, bringing the total to 28 flights per week, starting December 13. This increase caters to the rising demand from travellers in Germany, Italy, and the UK seeking holiday experiences in the Maldives.

In the US market, Qatar Airways will increase its Miami flights from 10 to 12 weekly services, starting December 16.

The additional flights will provide more connectivity for travellers from Miami to popular destinations in Southeast Asia, including Indonesia, Thailand, and the Philippines.

Additionally, Qatar Airways will boost its Tokyo services by adding four weekly flights, starting February 14, 2025, raising the total to 11 flights per week.

Qatar Airways’ chief commercial officer, Thierry Antinori, commented on the expansion, stating, “As the World’s Best Airline, Qatar Airways is committed to meeting the needs of our passengers by providing more travel options and creating unforgettable experiences. Our increased flights during the winter holiday season reflect our dedication to offering seamless connectivity to some of the world’s most sought-after destinations.”
