Qatar Airways to begin flights to Dubai, Abu Dhabi next week

Qatar Airways has opened booking for flights from Doha to Dubai and Abu Dhabi on its website.

It will begin operating flights between Doha and Dubai from January 27.

The flight will depart from Doha’s Hamad International Airport (DOH) at 7pm and arrive in Dubai International Airport (DXB) at 9.10pm. It will depart from Dubai at 10.40pm and arrive in Doha at 10.50pm.

From January 28, the airline is expected to operate double daily services with the second flight departing Doha at 1am and reaching Dubai at 3.10am. The return flight leaves DXB at 6am and touches down at DOH at 6.10am.

Also from January 28, the airline will operate a daily service between Doha and Abu Dhabi. It will depart from Doha at 7.50pm and arrive in Abu Dhabi at 9.55pm. It will make its return journey by departing from Abu Dhabi at 11.25pm and arriving in Doha at 11.35pm.

Abu Dhabi carrier Etihad Airways meanwhile has officially confirmed that it will restart a daily passenger flight between Abu Dhabi and Doha from February 15, 2021, subject to the applicable government approvals.

Qatar has been added to Abu Dhabi’s “green list” of countries from where incoming passengers do not require to quarantine for 10 days upon arrival in the emirate.

Low-cost UAE carrier Air Arabia has already begun daily direct flights between Sharjah and Doha after the recent resumption of diplomatic ties between Qatar and its GCC counterparts including Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
