Home Transport Aviation Qatar Airways To Start A380 Paris Flights The 577-seat superjumbo will provide 271 more seats than the current A340-600 by Dominic Ellis May 20, 2014 Qatar Airways has confirmed Paris Charles De Gaulle will be its second A380 service from July 3. Premium passengers flying to Paris will see a marked improvement on board the three-class, double-decker aircraft, which replaces an A340-600, and is one of three daily services. The 577-seat aircraft provides 271 more seats than the A340. The first of its 13 A380 aircraft on order will fly between Doha and London Heathrow from June 17 (QR003/04). Future A380 destinations include Frankfurt, New York (two on this route) and as-yet undisclosed Far East cities in the next three years. Hamad International Airport (HIA), Qatar Airways’ new home as of May 27, will have six contact gates designed especially for the superjumbo. On Monday, Qatar Executive, the corporate jet division of the Qatar Airways Group, announced it will add another new ultra-long haul Bombardier Global 5000 Vision to its fleet in July – catering to increased demand for private jet travel during the traditionally busy summer season. The new delivery will raise Qatar Executive’s fleet size to eight wholly-owned aircraft, comprising four Global 5000s – among them two Global 5000 Visions – three Challenger 605s and one Global XRS. 0 Comments
