Upon arrival, the president was received by Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. An official reception was held for Herzog on his arrival at the Qasr Al Watan. The two leaders discussed bilateral relations, regional issues and the significance of future opportunities between the two nations. The Israeli president was accompanied by a number of senior officials as well as the ambassador of Israel to the UAE, Amir Hayek.
