Pictures: Global Village’s 25th edition underway in Dubai

The silver jubilee edition of Dubai’s Global Village is currently underway, having opened its doors on Sunday, October 25.

The current edition of the annual shopping, dining and entertainment festival will run for 25 weeks, into Ramadan 2021.

This year’s Global Village is lined up with a stream of activities including the biggest virtual rock concert in history. In partnership with Arabian Radio Network, Emirates, and Jumeirah Beach Hotel, the event will be performed online by thousands of musicians and singers from around the world and streamed on the Global Village Main Stage, while broadcasted live via their official YouTube channel.

Last week, Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority decided to resume operations of four bus routes that serve the Global Village from the start of its new season.

On March 15 earlier this year, the organisers of the annual shopping, dining and entertainment festival, decided to end the previous season due to the Covid-19 pandemic ahead of the scheduled closing date of April 4.
