Oman extends Eid Al Adha holidays until August 6

Earlier, Oman had announced a five-day holiday from July 30 until August 3

Oman’s Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has issued a royal decree to extend the Eid Al Adha holidays.

Holidays to mark the occasion will now commence from Thursday, July 30, and last until Thursday, August 6, 2020.

 

Earlier, Oman had announced a five-day holiday from July 30 to August 3, to mark the religious festival, with work resuming on August 4, Times of Oman reported, citing Oman News Agency.

Oman has imposed a nation-wide lockdown from July 25 until August 8 in a move to stem the tide of the Covid-19 coronavirus spread.

Elsewhere in the region, the UAE has announced a four-day holiday for its public and private sectors.

Offices will remain closed from July 30 until August 2, with work resuming on August 3.
