Oman has removed the age restriction for mosque-goers in the country, Times of Oman reported.

The sultanate’s Minister of Health, Dr. Ahmed Al Saidi, said: “We have discussed it with the Minister of Religious and Endowment Affairs. There is no age limit to enter mosques, however, the mosques have to take necessary precautions to protect the worshippers.”

More than 700 mosques reopened in Oman last month.

The sultanate reported 179 new coronavirus cases and 2 deaths on December 10.

The health ministry also confirmed 293 recoveries. The case count across the country has now risen to 125,669, including 117,327 recoveries and 1,463 deaths.
