NYE 2025: Abu Dhabi announces free parking, toll waiver

Abu Dhabi authorities have announced that surface parking fees will be waived on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, in celebration of the New Year.

Parking fees will resume at 8am on Thursday, January 2, 2025.

Additionally, parking at the Musaffah M-18 truck parking lot will be free during the holiday.

The Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) of the Department of Municipalities and Transport also stated that the Darb toll gate system will be free of charge on January 1.

Toll fees will be reinstated on January 2 during peak hours, from 7 am to 9am. and 5pm to 7pm.

During the closure, services remain accessible online via the Abu Dhabi Mobility website, Darbi and Darb platforms, and the TAMM digital government services portal.

Abu Dhabi: Bus services during the NYE celebrations

Public bus services will operate according to weekend and official holiday schedules, with additional regional and intercity trips planned to accommodate increased demand.

For detailed bus schedules, passengers are advised to visit the Abu Dhabi Mobility website or use the Darbi smart app and Google Maps.

Authorities remind residents to adhere to parking regulations during the holiday to avoid fines and ensure smooth traffic flow.
