Home Expo 2020 Noura Al Kaabi to lead UAE pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai The six-month mega event will commence on Friday, October 1 by Gulf Business September 29, 2021 The UAE’s Minister of Culture and Youth, Noura bint Mohammed Al Kaabi, has been appointed as commissioner general of the UAE Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai. Omar Saif Ghobash, Assistant Minister for Culture and Public Diplomacy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation, was appointed to the role of deputy. Noura bint Mohammed Al Kaabi was named Minister of Culture and Youth in July 2020. Prior, she was appointed as Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development and Minister of State for Federal National Council Affairs to act as the key link between the Cabinet and the Federal National Council. Al Kaabi is also the chairwoman of the Media Zone Authority – Abu Dhabi (MZA) and twofour54. She is also a board member of the UAE’s National Media Council, Abu Dhabi Media, Image Nation, the Abu Dhabi Sports Council and the United Arab Emirates University. Expo 2020 Dubai will be officially commence on October 1, preceded by an opening ceremony on Thursday evening.
