The record transaction marks the highest price per square metre ever achieved in the emirate, exceeding Dhs96,000 per square metre. The sale of this ultra-prime penthouse underscores the growing allure of Abu Dhabi as a premier residential and investment destination. Reflecting a growing demand for luxury living, the record-breaking sale at Nobu Residences follows closely on the heels of the recent sale of a four-bedroom duplex sky villa at the same development, fetching Dhs130m. Highlights of Aldar’s Nobu Residences Situated on Saadiyat Island, Nobu Residences offers proximity to the Saadiyat Cultural District, home to the forthcoming Guggenheim Abu Dhabi. Talal Al Dhiyebi, group CEO at Aldar, commented on this milestone transaction, stating: “This landmark sale at Nobu Residences sets a new benchmark for residential property in Abu Dhabi and underscores the maturity of the real estate market. We are witnessing robust growth in both the volume and value of homes purchased, driven by supportive government policies and initiatives. “As we continue to introduce luxurious lifestyle concepts across prime locations in Abu Dhabi, we anticipate this trend to persist.” Nobu Residences Abu Dhabi will be the first branded residence for the brand in the Middle East. It is conveniently located to Saadiyat Grove and Mamsha Al Saadiyat. It features one-to-three-bedroom apartments, penthouses, lofts, and sky villas along with a 125-key hotel, Nobu restaurant and rooftop bar. Offering panoramic views of Saadiyat Beach, the penthouses and sky villas feature bespoke interiors inspired by Emirati and Japanese architecture. Residents can also enjoy luxurious amenities such as private elevators and private pools. The project is scheduled for completion in Q2 2027.
