The UAE’s Ministry of Education took to Twitter on Thursday to reiterate that there has been no decision made yet on the nature of the education model, whether hybrid or campus-only, for the next academic year.
It came after media reports this week stated that the authorities in the country had decided to extend the hybrid learning system into the next academic year.
The ministry added that the chosen model “depends on health conditions,” and that “its shape cannot be determined or anticipated now.”
“The matter is subject to current health developments, and the decision will be in the interest of our students and educational staff.”
In February, four emirates within the country – Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, Ajman and Umm Al Quwain, shifted to 100 per cent remote learning for all schools and nurseries.
