Effective from April 28, 2024, the adjustments will be implemented along the Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road, spanning from Ras Al Khor Road to Sharjah, in both directions. Truck movement timings The updated timings are as follows: Morning restrictions: Trucks will be prohibited from traveling on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road from 6:30 AM to 8:30 AM. Afternoon restrictions: Two separate time slots will be designated for restricted truck movement in the afternoon. The first period will be from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, followed by a second interval from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM. These measures are aimed at reducing congestion during peak traffic hours, particularly along this critical artery connecting Dubai to Sharjah. By regulating truck movement during specific times, authorities hope to streamline traffic flow, enhance road safety, and minimise delays for commuters and freight carriers alike.
