Home UAE Dubai New survey in Dubai reveals 88% satisfaction in government’s handling of Covid-19 pandemic There were 91 per cent of respondents who approved of the effectiveness of the national sterilisation programme, while 88 per cent were satisfied with the testing measures in place by Varun Godinho July 27, 2020 A new Community Survey conducted by way of the Dubai Excellence Government Programme has found that 88 per cent of the respondents were satisfied with the government’s handling of the Covid-19 pandemic. On Sunday, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai, reviewed those results at a meeting with members of the programme. There were 88 per cent of respondents who said that they were satisfied by the precautionary and preventive measures instituted to contain the virus. Specifically, 91 per cent approved the effectiveness of the national sterilisation programme, while 88 per cent were satisfied with the testing measures in place, 82 per cent approved of the private sector response and 87 per cent attested to the effectiveness of the travel bans. Within this category, 92 per cent said they were satisfied with the alternative measures that were put in place to access these necessary services, while 92 per cent also said that they were adequately familiar with the procedures. There were also 87 per cent of respondents who expressed satisfaction with measures taken to ensure life sustainability and business continuity. Here, 85 per cent said that they were satisfied with the business continuity measures, while 90 per cent said that they were content with the availability of food and medicine during the crisis. “I am proud of our teams who prioritized the safety of all Dubai residents.
