The 22-key Anantara Santorini Abu Dhabi Retreat is set to launch in Q4 2023 and will include the option for exclusive use buy-outs too. Located in Ghantoot along a coastal enclave approximately halfway between Dubai and Abu Dhabi, it is a 25-minute drive from Dubai’s Al Maktoum International airport and a 35-minute drive from Abu Dhabi International airport. Minor Hotels said that the low-lying white buildings of Anantara Santorini will house a collection of exclusive accommodation offerings with spacious interiors and terraces as well as sea views. The resort will have a private beach, an expansive outdoor pool and an indoor cinema that provides on-demand private screenings. Spa treatments will be available to guests in private beachside cabanas and the resort will also have a 24-hour butler service. F&B options at the property will include a restaurant dedicated to the regional heritage that will rely on local ingredients and spices, as well as a sea-side Greek restaurant. “This will be an exciting new addition to our luxury portfolio of properties across the UAE. With a fantastic location equidistant between Abu Dhabi and Dubai, this ultra-private property offers exceptional facilities for full buy-outs, especially those seeking an intimate boutique experience unlike anywhere else in the UAE,” said Dillip Rajakarier, group CEO Minor International and CEO Minor Hotels. With this upcoming opening, Minor Hotels will have eight Anantara hotels and resorts in the UAE and a total of 11 in the region, and a total of 26 properties across the group’s five different brands. Minor Hotels has a pipeline across multiple brands including future properties in the UAE, Qatar and upcoming debuts in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. In the UAE, Anantara Mina Al Arab Ras Al Khaimah Resort is slated to open in Q4 and will be the brand’s ninth property in the country. That new-build resort will feature 174 guest rooms, suites and villas, including the first over water villas in the emirate.
