Sources told Al-Watan that the university had requested the renewal of 516 contracts for professionals who had spent more than 10 years in their position. However, the ministry’s Replacement Administration refused to renew the contracts of 478. Seven consultant doctors and 31 assistant doctors were granted renewal. The decision came following complaints from postgraduate degree holders at Saudi universities, who have demanded a review of expatriate workers’ contracts. They have also called for a 10-year limit on any contract worker’s period of service. 0 Comments
