The contract for the construction of a public access road linking Sheikh Zayed Road to Palm Jebel Ali has been awarded to DBB Contracting, a civil and marine contractor in the UAE. Spanning nearly six kilometres, this road will provide a landscaped and convenient pathway, enhancing accessibility to the development. Additionally, Khansaheb Civil Engineering, a subsidiary of Khansaheb Group, will undertake roadway and lighting enhancements to Al Hesah Street. This street, formerly known as the old Abu Dhabi Road, connects Dubai Waterfront to Palm Jebel Ali, further facilitating seamless connectivity to the development. Khalid Al Malik, CEO of Dubai Holding Real Estate, said: “We are not only ensuring the highest standards of urban infrastructure for our customers, but also contributing to the realisation of the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan.” Palm Jebel Ali supports Dubai’s economic agenda while marking the expansion of the emirate’s growth corridor in the Jebel Ali area. With approximately 35,000 families expected to call it home, the island’s development aligns with the goals of the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan, aiming to increase public beach lengths by 400 per cent.
