First-degree relatives are also exempted from the rule and they can travel in the same vehicle even if there are more than three people. General Saif Mihir Ạlmzrwʿy, director general of Dubai Police Traffic Department, said that a fine of Dhs1,000 will be imposed on a driver if he had more than three people in his vehicle but this penalty does not extend to members of the same family. Curbs on public movement will now be limited to the period between 10pm and 6am. During this period, the public will be allowed to leave their homes only for medical emergencies.
