Minor Hotel Group announces RAK Anantara resort

The resort is scheduled to open in 2018 with 225 keys planned

Minor Hotel Group has unveiled plans for an Anantara resort in Ras Al Khaimah.

The development, Minor’s first in RAK, was announced at today’s Cityscape conference in Dubai.

Anantara Mina Al Arab Ras Al Khaimah Resort, located in Mina Al Arab, is scheduled to open in 2018. It is being developed by RAK Properties and will include residential, hospitality and retail components.

The resort’s 225 keys will comprise of guest rooms, suites and Maldivian-style overwater villas. Facilities will include a selection of restaurants, meetings and events space, a 250-seat ballroom, gym, aerobics and yoga room, squash courts, tennis court, a large outdoor pool, kids club and spa.

It will also boast its own private beach overlooking an eco reserve with mangroves.

We are delighted to be partnering with RAK Properties to add Ras Al Khaimah to our already well established UAE portfolio and look forward to working closely together to bring this new Anantara resort to the market,” said Minor Hotel Group CEO Dillip Rajakarier.

The company has ten hotels and resorts in operation across the Middle East and North Africa, after adding its first property in Qatar at the beginning of the year. Minor is also planning two Anantara resorts in Oman, a second Anantara in Dubai and properties in Morocco and Tunisia
