HAVING HELPED DUBAI win Expo 2020 at the end of 2013, Al Hashimy has focused her recent efforts on its preparation, while also serving in a number of governmental roles. She boasts extensive international credentials beginning her career as commercial attaché and, later, as deputy chief of mission at the UAE embassy in Washington DC, making her an important outward face of Dubai and the UAE and a role model for Emirati women.
