Lenovo has maintained its lead at the top of the UAE’s x86 server market in Q3 2020, latest data from IDC shows.

The company grew its share of the x86 server market by vendor value from 24.98 per cent in Q2 2020, to 28.17 per cent in Q3 2020, and by vendor revenue from 25.13 per cent in Q2 2020 to 28.52 per cent in Q3 2020. The figures also mark the fourth consecutive quarter of growth in the x86 segment for Lenovo in the UAE.

Lenovo said that expansion and enhancements to its regional partner network, especially in distribution and ISV partnerships, allowed it to meet growing customer demand in a timely fashion, helping the company to expand its customer base in the region.

The company has recently launched the Lenovo Partner Hub to boost engagement with channel partners, supported by targeted campaigns and rebate programs to support sales. The increased uptake of digital transformation has also contributed to Lenovo’s strong position in the UAE x86 market.

“We are very pleased to have extended our lead of the UAE x86 server market, which I believe is proof of the value that our customers see in our advanced solutions portfolio, and also the strength of our go-to-market strategy, which extends from our dedicated manufacturing facilities to Lenovo’s expert personnel, and into our growing network of strategic partners,” said Dr. Chris Cooper, director and general manager, Lenovo Data Centre Group MEA.

“All these factors are working together to ensure that Lenovo is the partner of choice for our customers, to help them achieve their digital transformation goals.”
