This implementation is part of a broader digitisation strategy for DHAMAN which consists of the EMR, as well as digital infrastructure for the issuance of DHAMAN’s medical health insurance policy. The healthcare group is implementing InterSystems TrakCare integrated electronic medical system to unify healthcare network, medical staff and patient data. DHAMAN will deploy the EMR in two phases -the first stage will cover the primary healthcare centres located in Hawally, Farwaniya and Dhajeej areas in Kuwait, while the second will extend the platform to 12 similar centres and three hospitals spread over other governorates in Kuwait. “This agreement represents an additional milestone in DHAMAN’s journey in IT, which is based on a long-term outlook for establishing and developing digital healthcare as DHAMAN’s EMR that allows the patients to access their files at any time and anywhere via multiple electronic channels. It also provides the medical team with the ability to know and analyse the health issues of each patient separately,” said DHAMAN’s Corporate Information Technology director Abdullah Al-Najjar.
