Home GCC Kuwait Kuwait urges expats with expired visas to alter status or exit the country by Nov 30 Officials said those found illegally residing in the country after November 30 will be deported and prevented from returning to Kuwait by Aarti Nagraj November 10, 2020 Kuwait’s interior ministry has urged expatriates holding expired residency and visit visas to have them renewed or exit the country before November 30 to avoid any “legal consequences”, the official Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported. The ministry also called on employers to amend the status of their employees through the ministry’s website or at residency affairs departments before the end of this month. This was the third extension from the interior ministry, following a first three-month extension from March to May and a second one from June 1 to August 31. The extensions were processed automatically by the ministry online. They were granted since travel restrictions remained in place in many parts of the world due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
