Kuwait’s National Assembly unanimously approved Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah as the Crown Prince.
In a special session held on October 8, all 59 members blessed the new Prince.
Subsequently, Sheikh Mishal took oath before the Assembly, as the Crown Prince, in line with the Constitution, Kuwait News Agency reported.
“We would like to congratulate His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah for the unanimous pledge of allegiance as Crown Prince of the National Assembly,” speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim said.
Current emir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah named Sheikh Mishaal as the Crown Prince of the Gulf nation on October 7.
