India flights: IndiGo launches 3 new routes from Abu Dhabi

India flights: IndiGo launches 3 new routes from Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi Airports has announced the launch of three new direct routes by Indian airline IndiGo, further enhancing connectivity between Abu Dhabi and key destinations in India.

The new routes will link Zayed International Airport (AUH) with Mangaluru (IXE), Tiruchirappalli (TRZ) and Coimbatore (CJB), bringing the total number of IndiGo-operated routes to 13.

This announcement coincides with a 33.5 per cent increase in passenger numbers reported by Abu Dhabi Airports for H1 2024, highlighting the potential for continued growth with the addition of these new routes.

Sanjeev Ramdas, EVP of Airport Operations & Customer Services at IndiGo, expressed excitement over the new routes. “This expansion strengthens our presence in the region and underlines the vital role Abu Dhabi plays as a hub for our travellers.

“In Zayed International Airport, we have found the ideal partner to further our global reach, opening doors to enhanced connectivity and providing our customers with even more travel options,” Ramdas stated.
