HUAWEI launches new foldable, nova 13 series, MatePad

As part of its much-awaited new flagship product launch in Dubai on December 12, HUAWEI introduced the Mate X6, FreeBuds Pro 4 and other devices, pushing the envelope on foldable smartphones, audio technology, and design aesthetics.

Leading the charge is the Mate X6, a foldable smartphone.

With its extremely thin profile and lightweight design, the Mate X6 is built to withstand the rigours of daily life, thanks to features like 2nd Generation Kunlun Glass.

This advanced glass technology protects the exterior screen and offers 25 times better drop resistance, while a carbon fibre inner screen plate ensures enhanced durability for the internal display.

The multi-dimensional hinge and aviation-grade aluminium middle frame further elevate the device’s robust build, while maintaining a sleek and premium feel.

Huawei’s vision for the Mate X6 is not just about durability; it’s about redefining the foldable smartphone experience with a device that combines both “beauty and brains”.

One of the standout features of the Mate X6 is its 50MP ultra aperture camera, which offers a 10-size adjustable physical aperture (ranging from F1.0 to F4.0), allowing users to control light intake and depth of field with precision.

The camera also boasts ‘Ultra Chroma’ technology, utilising 1.5 million spectral channels to enhance colour accuracy by an impressive 120 per cent.

The OLED exterior screen and large internal OLED display support a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, making it a smooth and seamless experience for users.

Whether you’re multitasking, watching videos, or playing games, the display adapts to provide an optimal viewing experience.

With prices starting at Dhs7,199, the Mate X6 is now available for preorder. Customers will also benefit from add-ons worth Dhs26,98 when preordering.

The phone is available in Nebula gray, Nebula red, and black.

HUAWEI FreeBuds Pro 4

The FreeBuds Pro 4, featuring HUAWEI SOUND technology, delivers a rich, dynamic listening experience with a dual-driver system.

The brand has also introduced the ‘AI Best Expression’ feature, which automatically selects the best facial expressions from burst shots, ensuring that group photos are always flawless.

For users looking to get creative, the 5X selfie zoom opens up new possibilities for close-up portraits, while delivering cinematic-quality selfies.

Paired with the 100W HUAWEI SuperCharge Turbo, the phone can charge to 50 per cent in just 10 minutes.

Starting at Dhs1,699, the nova 13 series will be available in loden green, black, and white. The series will be launched in the UAE by end of January 2025.

HUAWEI MatePad 11.5

Meant for those who value productivity on the go, the MatePad 11.5 features a ‘PaperMatte’ display, offering a paper-like experience that is gentle on the eyes, making it ideal for long study sessions or work hours.

The device also features an enhanced HUAWEI Notes app, which makes note-taking and organising tasks more efficient than ever.

The HUAWEI MatePad 11.5 is priced at Dhs1,299 and will be available next month in the UAE.

Available in Isle Blue and Space Gray, the tablet is designed to be the perfect tool for students and light-duty office workers.

HUAWEI FreeClip in rose gold

The FreeClip, now available in a rose gold finish, combines cutting-edge audio technology with fashion-forward design. With features like ‘dynamic bass algorithm’ and ‘head motion’ controls, the FreeClip is as much about sound as it is about style.

The ‘Drop Reminders’ feature alerts users if an earbud slips out during use, ensuring they never lose their connection to great audio.

Priced at Dhs699, the HUAWEI FreeClip in rose gold is now available, with a preorder discount of Dhs100.
