Hilton spots potential for mid-market brand in the Eastern Province

Hilton Garden Inn Al Khobar is due to open mid 2017, marking the mid-market brand’s debut in Saudi Arabia.

Hilton Worldwide signed the agreement with local investor Ali Saad Bin Sultan & Brother Holding Group Co.

The 150-room hotel will be located centrally, close to the city’s two largest shopping malls and not far from King Fahd International Airport and King Fahd Causeway that connects with Bahrain.

Guests will be offered a ‘Garden Sleep System bed’, free high-speed internet access and ergonomic Mirra chairs by Herman Miller along with a health club, outdoor pool, business centre, large multi-function room and meeting rooms.  A lobby lounge and all-day-dining option will be among the F&B offering.

Rudi Jagersbacher, president, Hilton Worldwide Middle East & Africa said the region is enjoying rapid commercial and industrial expansion “and if that trend is to continue then the demand for quality hotels will be key to the continued progress and prosperity of the city”.
