Following the recent Eid Ul Adha break, the next national holiday, on account of Hijri New Year, will reportedly fall on August 9 or 10, depending on the moon sighting. This day will mark the beginning of the Islamic New Year. The subsequent holiday, on account of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)’s birthday, is expected to fall on October 21, a Thursday. This would be followed by a declared holiday on December 1 (Wednesday) to mark Commemoration Day, and December 2-3 (Thursday/Friday) on account of the UAE National Day.
