Torrential rains, winds follow a weather alert issued for Sunday
Rain lashed various parts of Dubai on Sunday with lightning and hail. Certain areas experienced torrential rains while other saw a drizzle.
Heavy rain was recorded over Dubai – Abu Dhabi road, while Al Khawaneej road saw rain accompanied with hail, according to the official National Centre of Metrology’s (NCM) Twitter account.

The National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) has issued an alert for the public to maintain vigilance as weather conditions worsen across the country. It has also urged people to stay abreast with weather forecasts and avoid using mobile phones especially during thunderstorms.
