Design, display and performance
Featuring a 6.5-inch screen, the P50 has a rounded corner design o the display. The 90Hz refresh rate is available for dedicated apps and scenarios. It has a 7.9mm thin body and weighs approximately 181g, including the battery. The device is lighter than the previous generation and very comfortable to hold. The smartphone’s back panel features glass with a frosted finish that can slightly repel smudges and fingerprints.

A true-chroma display supporting P3 wide colour gamut and 1.07 billion colours shows consistent colours from sight to screen. Meanwhile, the high-frequency PWM dimming control reduces eye strain. So even in lowlight conditions, you can still enjoy a comfortable and high-quality viewing experience. The phone also has a 1P68 rating for splash, dust and water resistance.

Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 4G chipset, the P50 has a storage space of 8GB of RAM and 256GB ROM. In addition, the smartphone runs on the HarmonyOS 2.0 operating system.

Camera capabilities

The Huawei XD Optics is said to empower smartphone photography with better clarity, while the upgraded XD Fusion Pro image engine helps to reproduce comprehensive image details.

Users can also capture tiny objects in super close 2.5cm macro shot and can zoom in to see stunning textures and details. Meanwhile, the true-focus fast capture feature enables you to capture all the action when in motion easily.

The P50 also has an all-range 4K video capability that allows you to record exciting life details in videos with high image quality. The AI remove function will eliminate unwanted objects that appear in view. In addition, users can record a single moving object in a stationary scene with the AI cinemagraph.

The smartphone is fuelled with a 4100mAh battery and has 66W Huawei fast charging capability. Some additional features comprise GPS, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC and USB Type-C 3.1.
