Home Industry Technology Google Cloud, SAP expand strategic partnership for business transformation SAP services to be more widely available on Google Cloud by Divsha Bhat August 8, 2021 Google Cloud and SAP have announced an extended strategic collaboration to help customers in executing business transformations, migrating essential business systems to the cloud, and augmenting existing business systems with Google Cloud AI and machine learning capabilities. Under this partnership, Google Cloud will be a strategic cloud partner for the Rise with SAP offering. The two companies will partner to accelerate customers’ cloud migrations and business process migrations. In addition, customers can benefit from the availability of multiple SAP services and products on Google Cloud’s network, including the SAP Analytics Cloud and SAP Data Warehouse Cloud solutions within SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP). “We’re delighted to partner with SAP to accelerate business’ digital transformations with SAP on Google Cloud and with next-generation cloud capabilities,” said Rob Enslin, president at Google Cloud. “Offering integration between SAP solutions, SAP BTP and Google Cloud infrastructure and capabilities in artificial intelligence, machine learning and analytics gives customers the choice they desire as well as the innovative portfolio they seek to transform their businesses in the cloud,” said Thomas Saueressig, member of the executive board of SAP SE and responsible for SAP product engineering. Last year, Google Cloud teamed up with Saudi Aramco Development Company, a subsidiary of oil giant Aramco, to build and operate cloud data centres in Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia now joins the global network of Google Cloud Platform regions, with the JV supplying cloud solutions and services to enterprise customers, with an emphasis on businesses inside Saudi Arabia.
