Global educational technology (edtech) platform Cuemath is expanding into Saudi Arabia, the company said on Tuesday.

The move comes after the company’s launch and growth in the UAE  and its more recent expansion into Qatar.

Cuemath, backed by Google, launched its operations in the UAE in June 2021, where it has since witnessed a 600 per cent increase in the subscriber base, to 180,000 customers.

The one-on-one personalised math learning platform is currently present in over 50 countries across the world, including the UK, the US, Singapore, Canada, the UAE, Egypt, Qatar, Nigeria, India and Thailand. The programme is led by over 10,000 teachers from various professional backgrounds, a statement said.

The kingdom’s edtech market is expected to record a compound annual growth rate of 21 per cent between 2020-2025, Ken Research suggests. It also draws support from the public policy, with the digitisation of education prioritised in the country’s ‘Vision 2030’ strategy.

Vivek Sunder, CEO of Cuemath, said: “We are growing rapidly in the Middle East and are delighted to expand into the kingdom. The attraction of Cuemath’s unique teaching methods has spread quickly across the region since we entered the UAE last year.

“The kingdom has a young population, increased digital connectivity, and education is a high public policy priority. This combination is fertile ground for Cuemath, and we look forward to preparing the Kingdom’s children for future math-related jobs in a digitised economy.”
