GCC Update: Saudi reports 493 new Covid-19 cases, 6 additional deaths

The Ministry of Health in Saudi Arabia took to Twitter to report 493 new Covid-19 cases on Wednesday, April 15, its highest daily rise in infections since the outbreak.

Of the newly diagnosed cases, the highest were reported in Madinah (109) and Hufof (86) followed by Dammam (84).

The Ministry also announced six additional deaths, raising the total number of Covid-19 related deaths to 79.

The recent diagnosis has spiked the total number of Covid-19 infections in the kingdom to 5,862.

An additional 42 patients have recovered from the infection, bringing the total number of recoveries to 931.

Oman
The Ministry of Health announced 97 new coronavirus cases in the country, Times of Oman reported on April 15.

According to the ministry, the total confirmed cases of coronavirus has touched 910, which includes 131 patients who have recovered and four who succumbed to the disease.

Kuwait
The Ministry of Health reported 50 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, Kuwait News Agency reported on April 15.

A total of 1,405 people have been infected in the country, while three have succumbed to the disease.
