GCC Covid-19 update: UAE reports 541 cases, 7 deaths

The Ministry of Health and Prevention in the UAE has announced 541 new Covid-19 cases, following an additional 25,000 tests that were conducted across the country.

All the newly diagnosed cases are undergoing treatment.

The total number of cases in the country has now spiked to 11,380.

With an additional 91 recoveries, a total of 2,181 patients have now overcome the virus.

The ministry also confirmed the demise of seven individuals of different nationalities, raising the country’s Covid-19 death toll to 89.

Oman
Oman reported 82 new coronavirus cases in the sultanate, of whom 40 were Omanis while 42 were expatriates, Oman News Agency reported.

The total number of Covid-19 infections in Oman now tallies 2,131.

 

Bahrain
As of April 28, Bahrain has a total of 1,556 active Covid-19 cases of which two remain critical.
