GCC Covid-19 update: UAE reports 491 cases; 187 infections registered in Oman

UAE
The UAE has reported 491 Covid-19 cases and 402 additional recoveries on August 27.

The new cases were detected as a consequence of 68,043 tests conducted to screen for the virus.

The Ministry of Health and Prevention has confirmed that no deaths were recorded in the past 24 hours, keeping the death toll unchanged at 378.

The total infection count stands at 68,511, while the number of recoveries tally 59,472.

Oman
The Ministry of Health reported 187 new cases of the coronavirus infection, as well as four deaths.

The total cases in the country have now scaled to 85,005, including 79,608 recoveries and 650 deaths, Times of Oman reported.

Bahrain
The Ministry of Health confirmed that as of August 26, there were 3,157 active Covid-19 cases, of which 29 were critical.

A total of 187 people have succumbed to the virus since its outbreak.
