GCC Covid-19 update: UAE reports 392 cases, 1 death; Saudi registers 3,379 infections, 37 fatalities

The death toll in the UAE and Saudi Arabia has risen to 302 and 1,267 respectively

UAE
The Ministry of Health and Prevention registered 392 new Covid-19 cases on June 21, as a result of 48,000 tests conducted to screen for the virus.

The total number of infections has now risen to 44,925 while the recoveries now tally 32,415.

The ministry also reported one additional death, scaling the death toll to 302.

Saudi Arabia
The Ministry of Health reported 3,379 Covid-19 cases and 37 related fatalities.

The city of Riyadh posted 668 infections, followed by Jeddah (342), Makkah (340) and Dammam (245).

As many as 1,267 Covid-19 patients have succumbed to the virus while a total of 2,027 critical cases were reported across the kingdom.

 

Kuwait
The Ministry of Health reported 505 new infections and seven deaths, scaling the total infections to 39,650 and the death toll to 326.

Oman
The Ministry of Health reported 905 Covid-19 infections and three fatalities.

Bahrain
As of June 20, Bahrain had a total of 5,480 active Covid-19 cases, of which 32 were critical. Meanwhile, 61 people have succumbed to the virus thus far.

Qatar
The Ministry of Public Health reported 881 infections and four deaths in the past 24 hours.
