GCC Covid-19 update: UAE reports 254 cases; 1,099 infections registered in Oman

The death toll in the UAE remains unchanged at 342

UAE
The UAE reported 254 new cases of Covid-19 coronavirus on July 23, as a result of 54,000 tests conducted to screen for the virus.

The Ministry of Health and Prevention confirmed that since the virus outbreak, a total of 57,988 people have contracted the virus.

Meanwhile, new recoveries – amounting to 494 – eclipsed the number of new cases. Consequently, 50,848 people have overcome the infection.

The death toll, however, remains unchanged at 342.

Oman
The sultanate has reported a total of 1,099 new infections, of which 979 were Omanis.

The Ministry of Health confirmed six additional deaths, scaling the total to 355.

Kuwait
The Ministry of Health has confirmed that since the virus outbreak, a total of 52,247 have recovered from the infection, Kuwait News Agency reported.
