Home Covid-19 GCC Covid-19 update: UAE reports 1,209 cases, 4 deaths The death toll in the UAE and Oman has risen to 534 and 1,350 respectively by Zainab Mansoor November 16, 2020 United Arab Emirates The UAE’s health ministry has confirmed 1,209 new Covid-19 infections, 680 recoveries and four deaths in the last 24 hours. The new cases were detected as a result of 84,154 screenings conducted to gauge the virus. Since the onset of the virus, a total of 120,718 people have been infected. Meanwhile, 1,350 deaths have been recorded. Bahrain The health ministry confirmed 180 new cases, 169 additional recoveries and one death on November 15. Out of 9489 COVID-19 tests carried out on 15 November 2020, 180 new cases have been detected among 58 expatriate workers, 114 new cases are contacts of active cases, and 8 are travel related.
