GCC Covid-19 update: UAE registers 786 cases; 557 infections reported in Oman

UAE
The Ministry of Health and Prevention has reported 786 new infections and 661 additional recoveries on September 17.

The new cases were detected as a result of 92,912 examinations conducted to screen for the virus.

The infection count has risen to 82,568, of which 72,117 patients have now recovered.

The death toll stands unchanged at 402.

Oman
The Ministry of Health has registered 557 new coronavirus cases, 285 additional recoveries and 13 deaths across the sultanate.

The infection count has risen to 91,753, including 84,648 recoveries and 818 deaths, Times of Oman reported.

Kuwait
As many as 825 new infections and four deaths were reported in the last 24 hours.

The infection count stands at 97,824, including 9,338 currently active cases.

Qatar
The Ministry of Public Health has confirmed 244 additional Covid-19 infections in the last 24 hours. However, no deaths were reported.

The country currently has a total of 2,872 active Covid-19 cases.
