GCC Covid-19 update: UAE registers 513 cases; 619 infections confirmed in Kuwait

UAE
The Ministry of Health and Prevention has confirmed 513 new Covid-19 infections on September 6, which were detected in the wake of 87,336 tests conducted by the country’s health authorities to ascertain the virus.

The total infection count in the country has now reached 73,984.

However, additional recoveries totaled 2,443, tantamount to nearly five times the volume of new infections.

The total recoveries now equal 66,095.

The ministry also confirmed that no deaths were recorded in the preceding 24 hours, keeping the fatality toll unchanged at 388.

Kuwait
The Ministry of Health reported 619 new infections and four deaths in the last 24 hours, Kuwait News Agency reported.

The infection count tallies 89,582, while the death toll stands at 544.

With 618 additional recoveries, the total number of patients who have overcome the virus now equal 80,521.

Oman
The sultanate recorded 692 cases and 23 deaths in the last 24 hours, Times of Oman reported.

The total cases in the country has now reached 87,072, including 82,406 recoveries and 728 deaths, according to the Ministry of Health.

Bahrain
As of September 5, Bahrain had a total of 3,928 active Covid-19 cases, of which 29 were reported to be critical.

Qatar
The Ministry of Public Health confirmed 231 new cases and 1 death in the last 24 hours.

A total of 203 deaths have been recorded across the country thus far.
