GCC Covid-19 update: UAE registers 1,041 new infections, 1,001 recoveries

UAE
The UAE has confirmed 1,041 new coronavirus cases, as a result of 108,906 tests conducted to screen for the virus.

The health ministry confirmed 1,001 additional recoveries as well.

The registered infection count has risen to 98,801, including 88,123 recoveries. The death toll stands unchanged at 426.

Oman
The Ministry of Health has registered 2,685 new coronavirus cases and 42 deaths across the sultanate, Times of Oman reported.

The total cases in the country now tally 101,270, including 90,296 recoveries and 977 deaths.

Bahrain
Out of 9,735 Covid-19 tests carried out on October 3, 507 new cases have been detected.

There were 629 additional recoveries, increasing the total to 66,813.

Qatar
The Ministry of Public Health reported 159 new infections and 173 additional recoveries.

Currently, the country has 2,807 active Covid-19 cases.
