GCC Covid-19 update: Saudi reports 898 cases; 574 infections confirmed in UAE

A total of 3,929 Covid-19-related demises have been reported in Saudi Arabia

UAE
The Ministry of Health and Prevention reported 574 additional Covid-19 cases, detected as a result of 82,772 examinations conducted to screen for the virus.

Since the virus outbreak, a total of 70,805 people have been infected with the virus.

The death toll stands at 384.

Saudi Arabia
The Ministry of Health took to Twitter to confirm that 898 new Covid-19 infections, 718 recoveries and 32 related demises were registered in the last 24 hours.

The infection count has risen to 316,670, while recoveries tally 291,514.

Meanwhile, a total of 3,929 people have succumbed to the coronavirus infection since its outbreak late last year.

Kuwait
An additional 702 infections were recorded, alongside three fatalities on September 1, Kuwait News Agency confirmed.

As many as 90 people are confirmed to be currently in the intensive care unit.

The infection tally stands at 85,811.

Oman
The Ministry of Health registered 206 Covid-19 infections and four related deaths on September 1.

The total cases in the country has now reached 85,928, including 81,024 recoveries and 689 deaths, Times of Oman reported.

Bahrain
The Ministry of Health confirmed that as of August 31, 2,735 Covid-19 active cases existed across the kingdom, of which 36 were known to be critical.
