GCC Covid-19 update: Saudi reports 2,642 cases; Kuwait registers 955 infections

Saudi Arabia
The Ministry of Health in Saudi Arabia has reported 2,642 new Covid-19 cases and 13 additional deaths on May 22.

The death toll in the kingdom has risen to 364 while the infections have soared to 67,719.

As many as 2,963 additional recoveries have been recorded, raising the total recoveries to 39,003.

Kuwait
The Ministry of Health reported 955 additional Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, raising the infections to 19,564, Kuwait News Agency reported.

Nine deaths were also reported, raising the death toll to 138.

Oman 
The Ministry of Health reported 424 confirmed Covid-19 cases on May 22, spiking the total infections to 6,794.

The ministry also confirmed the deaths of two individuals aged 57 and 60. The death toll now stands at 34.

Bahrain
As of May 22, 3.30pm, Bahrain had a total of 4,322 active Covid-19 patients, of whom seven are in a critical state.

Qatar
The Ministry of Public Health reported two additional deaths, raising the death toll to 19.

The ministry also confirmed 1,830 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours.
