Home Covid-19 GCC Covid-19 update: Saudi registers 1,815 cases, 14 deaths; Kuwait reports 692 infections The death toll in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait has risen to 425 and 175 respectively by Zainab Mansoor May 27, 2020 The Ministry of Health and Prevention in the UAE has reported 883 additional Covid-19 cases, as a result of more than 27,000 tests conducted to screen for the virus. The total number of infections has now reached 31,969. Meanwhile, two people of different nationalities succumbed to the virus, bringing the death toll to 255. The total number of recovered cases has reached 16,371 Saudi Arabia The Ministry of Health in Saudi Arabia has reported 1,815 new Covid-19 cases as well as 14 deaths on May 27. The city of Riyadh posted 739 new infections, followed by Jeddah (325) and Makkah (162). Three additional Covid-19 patients died in the last 24 hours, raising the death toll to 175. Bahrain As of May 27, 11am, Bahrain had a total of 4,413 active cases, of whom eight were in a critical state. Meanwhile, 15 people in the country have succumbed to the virus. Qatar The Ministry of Public Health has reported a total of 1,740 positive virus cases, two deaths and 215 acute hospital admissions in the last 24 hours. Since the outbreak, Qatar has reported 30 Covid-19-related deaths.
