Home Industry Transport Free parking in Dubai during Eid holidays, public transport timings revealed The metro will run from 7am to 9pm during the Eid holidays by Aarti Nagraj May 24, 2020 All paid parking zones in Dubai will be free to use from Saturday, May 23, until Tuesday, May 26 during the Eid Al Fitr holidays, Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has confirmed. They will resume charging fees from Wednesday, May 27. However, multi-level parking terminals will continue to charge fees during the Eid period, the RTA clarified. The RTA’s customers’ happiness centres will also be closed from Friday, May 22 until Tuesday, May 26. The smart customers happiness centres at Umm Ramool, Deira, Al Barsha and the RTA head office will be operating as usual 24/7. The authority also confirmed that all the service provider centres (technical testing) will be closed during Eid Al Fitr holidays. Metro timings Metro stations on the Red line and the Green line will operate as follows: From Saturday to Thursday – from 7am to 9pm and on Fridays, from 10am until 9pm. Tram Dubai Tram will run from Saturday to Thursday from 7am to 9pm, and on Friday from 10am to 9pm. Bus timings During the Eid break, from Friday, May 22 until Tuesday, May 26, bus timings will be as follows – The main bus stations, including Gold Souq and Al Ghubaibah, will operate from 6am until 8pm. Sub-stations, including Deira City Centre, Al Sabkha, Jebel Ali, Al Karama, Union Square and Al Satwa, will remain open from 6am to 8pm except for Route C01 operating around-the-clock. Metro feeder bus stations at Al Rashidiya, Mall of the Emirates, Ibn Battuta, Dubai Mall/Burj Khalifa, Abu Hail, and Etisalat will be operational from 6am to 8pm. All external stations will closed during the Eid break. Marine transport timings The timings for marine transit services between May 24-26 will be as follows: The Water Bus will operate at Marina stations (Marina Mall, Marina Walk, Marina Terrace, Marina Promenade) from 9am until 7pm. Meanwhile timings at the Dubai Creek stations (Dubai Old Souq, Baniyas, Deira old Souk, Al Sabkha, Al Fahidi, Al Seef, Baniyas) will be from 9am to 7pm. From Al Jaddaf to Dubai Festival City, it will run from 7.30am to 7.30pm. Meanwhile the heritage abra will run from 6am until 7pm at Dubai Old Souq, Al Sabkha, Deira Old Souk and Bur Dubai stations.
