Home UAE Dubai Flydubai to begin flights to AlUla and Yanbu in Saudi Arabia With the two additional routes, the airline will be flying to six destinations in the kingdom by Varun Godinho February 7, 2022 Dubai-based airline flydubai has said that it will begin flights between Dubai and two destinations in Saudi Arabia – AlUla and Yanbu – over the coming weeks. Flights to Prince Abdul Majeed bin Abdulaziz Airport (ULH) will start on March 2, and will operate twice a week from Terminal 2 at Dubai International (DXB). It will therefore become the first UAE carrier to operate this route from Dubai. Meanwhile flights to Yanbu International Airport (YNB), also known as Abdul Mohsin bin Abdulaziz International Airport, will resume on February 24 as a thrice-weekly service. It brings the airline’s network coverage in Saudi Arabia to a total of six destinations including Dammam, Jeddah, Madinah and Riyadh. Flydubai’s flights to AlUla, home to Saudi Arabia’s first UNESCO World Heritage site Hegra, will operate every Wednesday and Saturday. Return Business Class fares from DXB to ULH start from Dhs3,500 and Economy Class fares begin from Dhs1,050. Return Business Class fares from ULH to DXB start from SAR3,500 and Economy Class fares are available from SAR1,050. “We are looking forward to the start of our twice weekly service to AlUla from March. This route will be popular for our passengers from the UAE, as well as for travellers from the GCC, Russia and Central Asia,” said Sudhir Sreedharan, senior vice president, Commercial Operations (UAE, GCC, Subcontinent and Africa) at flydubai. Flights to Yanbu International Airport (YNB) will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. Return Business Class fares from DXB to YNB start from Dhs3,500 and Economy Class fares begin at Dhs1,500. Return Business Class fares from YNB to DXB start from SAR3,500 and Economy Class fares begin from SAR1,500. “We are also looking forward to the resumption of our operations to Yanbu in the Al Madinah Province.
