Flydubai resumes flights between Dubai and Riyadh, Dammam

Dubai-based carrier Flydubai has resumed flights to Dammam International Airport and Riyadh International Airport in Saudi Arabia.

It added that bookings for flights to Jeddah are now open and that services to that destination will resume in February.

The airline said the decision to restart flights is in line with the directives issued by the relevan authorities, and urged all travelers to check IATA Travel Centre, or its own website too, ahead of booking their flights.

Flydubai operates a non-stop flight from Dubai to Dammam on alternate days which departs from Dubai at 7.10am and lands in Dammam at 7.40am. The return flight departs from Dammam at 8.40am and lands in Dubai at 11.05am.

It also operates a flight to Riyadh on alternate days. It departs from Dubai at 4.10pm and arrives in Riyadh at 5.10pm. The return flight departs from Riyadh at 6.10pm and lands in Dubai at 9.05pm.

UAE carriers Emirates, Flydubai and Etihad had suspended flights to Saudi Arabia after the kingdom suspended incoming flights for a week starting December 20 over concerns on the spread of a new coronavirus strain, and later extended the suspension for another week.

The kingdom resumed international flights and entry through its land and sea ports starting 11am on Sunday, January 3.
