The new Business Class Lounge spans 900 square metres and is designed to accommodate over 200 passengers. Conveniently located after passport control and security at Terminal 2, the lounge offers a seamless transition for business cass passengers, who can board dedicated buses for their flights directly from the lounge. flydubai’s CCO Hamad Obaidalla commented on the milestone, saying: “This year, flydubai is celebrating 15 years of operations. We remain committed to constantly evolving and investing in enhancing the customer experience, whether in the air or on the ground. The new lounge provides a seamless and enjoyable travel experience for our Business Class passengers from Terminal 2. We are grateful to the airport authorities for their support in bringing this beautifully designed space to life.” Highlights of flydubai’s new business lounge The lounge features a modern design with natural light, drawing inspiration from the desert dunes, blending warm tones and minimalist aesthetics. Guests can enjoy a variety of seating options, including dining areas, lounges, and quiet spaces for relaxation. The lounge offers panoramic tarmac views through its glass facade, ensuring a comfortable atmosphere for both relaxation and productivity. In terms of amenities, the lounge includes an internationally inspired buffet, à la carte dining options, shower facilities, a prayer room, and practical features such as free wi-fi, workstations, and charging stations. Mohamed Hassan, SVP of Airport Services & Cargo at flydubai, explained: “Lounges are a key component in providing a seamless and comfortable travel experience. The new Business Class Lounge and boarding gate enhance convenience for passengers seeking a more personalised and efficient experience, whether travelling for business or leisure. We look forward to welcoming many passengers, particularly during the upcoming busy holiday period.” Emirates Skywards members will also have access to select benefits at the new lounge, depending on their membership tier. The launch of the lounge follows the opening of flydubai’s new business class check-in space at Terminal 2 in October, which includes personalised Meet and Assist services, seated check-ins, and Fast Track options for passport control and security.
