The company invested Dhs442m in the new facilities, which include three power substations and a new pumping station, aimed at enhancing infrastructure resilience and sustainability. “The inauguration of these facilities marks a significant milestone in our strategic journey,” said Yousif Ahmed Al Ali, CEO of EtihadWE. “By enhancing our infrastructure, we are supporting both the growth and needs of the Northern Emirates, while also contributing to the UAE’s sustainability goals.” EtihadWE’s new plants set up across the Northern Emirates Among the newly inaugurated projects is the Al Hamidiya Main Substation 132/11 in Ajman, which replaces an older facility and costs Dhs137m. The Mohamed Bin Zayed Substation 33/11, constructed in a residential area, is now operational with an investment of Dhs61m. In Fujairah, the Al-Nujaymat Main Station has been upgraded with state-of-the-art technology for Dhs122m, replacing outdated infrastructure. Additionally, the Al Ghail Pumping Station, part of the Al Ghail Distribution Centre, was launched in Ras Al Khaimah with an investment of Dhs122m, significantly improving water distribution across various regions, including parts of Sharjah.
