The exhibition was a result of a collaboration between Etihad Rail, the UAE Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure (MOEI), ADNEC Group and dmg events. The agreements signed reflect Etihad Rail’s strategic commitment to fostering innovation and digital transformation in rail infrastructure. Key agreements signed by Etihad Rail An MoU was signed with Presight AI to explore AI-driven solutions across Etihad Rail’s operations. The collaboration will focus on enhancing operational efficiency, productivity, and overall digital transformation. Etihad Rail inked a deal with RITES, an Indian public-sector transportation enterprise, to foster knowledge exchange and collaboration in railway development, including the supply and leasing of rolling stock and consultancy for infrastructure projects in the UAE and beyond. A partnership with Korea National Railway (KNR) and Korea Railroad Corporation (KORAIL) was forged to enhance technical exchanges and cooperation in railway construction, project management, and operations, setting the stage for groundbreaking developments in rail infrastructure. Etihad Rail signed an MoU with the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber to explore collaboration on railway planning, construction, operation, and maintenance, alongside sustainable practices and technological innovation. A significant MoU with LTTS was signed to explore the creation of a National Mobility Innovation Centre in Abu Dhabi. This initiative will accelerate research and the development of cutting-edge transportation solutions, with a focus on sustainability and intelligent mobility. The partnership with IronLev will explore the potential integration of magnetic levitation (maglev) technology, enabling faster, energy-efficient, and smoother transportation for the UAE’s rail operations. An MoU with European deep-tech company Nevomo will focus on the application of autonomous rail solutions, particularly leveraging Nevomo’s Magrail Booster Technology to enhance freight operations in the UAE. Hitachi Rail and Etihad Rail signed an MoU to collaborate on the development of advanced communication systems, cybersecurity solutions, and the integration of mobility-as-a-service (MaaS) technology into the UAE’s rail network. A partnership with Singapore’s SBS Transit aims to leverage mobility solutions and AI applications, exploring how these innovations can support the future development of the UAE’s railway sector.
