The inaugural flight, EY147, was celebrated with fanfare at both Abu Dhabi Airport before departure and upon arrival in Massachusetts. The service will operate four times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays on a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. Boston is Etihad’s fourth US destination “We are thrilled to inaugurate flights to Boston, further extending our reach across the US and enhancing connectivity for travellers,” said Etihad’s CEO Antonoaldo Neves. Neves highlighted the significance of the new route, not only in bringing the cultural gems of Abu Dhabi and Dubai to the American Northeast, but also in Etihad’s commitment to providing exceptional travel experiences and fostering global connections. He emphasised that the flight schedule allows for convenient connections within Etihad’s growing network, catering to both business and leisure travellers seeking destinations across the Middle East and India (with connections to 11 routes). Boston joins Chicago, New York, and Washington as Etihad‘s fourth US destination.
